What is the HCG Diet?

HCG is the abbreviation for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin Hormone and is excreted during the development of an embryo or fetus and detected in the urine upon fertilization.

The Human Chorionic Gonadotropin is extracted from the urine of a pregnant woman and prepared into a powder and then a solution that is injected. Pregnant women are the only humans that have this hormone naturally occurring within their body. During pregnancy it provides the fetus with blood that is continually saturated with food. HCG affects the Hypothalamus, which acts as a bridge to the nervous system and the endocrine system. The Hypothalamus is responsible for controlling autonomic function such as appetite and hunger.

People experiencing obesity benefit from injections of HCG because it allows them to have blood that is consistently saturated with food giving a sense of satisfaction and fullness when consuming only 500 calories a day. This allows the body to pull from the accumulation of fat that has been deposited in areas that have been in lock down. This diet helps the body pull from those areas where the fat has been locked away and opens up the door to be released and used as fuel.

During other diets the body will pull from important structural fats leaving an obese person looking gaunt, but still with tons of fat around the middle. Other diets also cause people to feel very exhausted, because literally they starve themselves trying to get rid of the excess fat that isn’t even being accessed.

The HCG diet allows people experiencing obesity to prepare the body by first force-feeding with specific high fat foods to ensure adequate fat reserves so the body is directed to the toxic fat that has been locked away from regular metabolism instead of the essential structural fats.

Medical-grade, patented HCG drops placed daily under the tongue, helps reduce cravings while following a very low calorie diet. HCG helps your body selectively burn abnormal fat stored around the hips, thighs, belly, and upper arms – while retaining normal and structural fat. In other words, the HCG diet plan helps to curb your hunger and simultaneously helps your body target its fat stores for a source of energy.

This plan centers on a very low calorie diet, it is necessary for Indiana HCG Doctor, David McLaughlin, M.D. to medically supervise this 30-day plan. Once you are accepted, you go through an initial assessment where Dr. McLaughlin reviews your past medical history, performs a physical exam, and reviews your initial laboratory results.

An initial assessment will be performed by Indiana HCG Doctor, David McLaughlin, M.D. to review your past medical history, perform a brief physical exam, and review your initial laboratory results. After your acceptance into the program, you are medically educated on what to eat, and how to measure it. You are seen weekly to monitor your weight and body measurements, and to be given a weekly B-12/lipotropic injection.

During the 28-day plan, almost every committed patient loses inches and usually around 20 to 30 pounds. Obviously, results vary based on the amount of targeted weight to lose, and each patient’s commitment.

How does it work?

So many times, diets fail because people simply have a hard time adjusting their eating habits. That’s where the HCG diet comes in. Medical-grade, patented HCG drops (Releana), placed daily under the tongue, helps reduce cravings while following a very low calorie diet (500 calories per day). HCG helps your body selectively burn abnormal fat stored around the hips, thighs, belly, and upper arms – while retaining normal and structural fat. In other words, the HCG diet plan helps to curb your hunger and simultaneously helps your body target its fat stores for a source of energy.

Who is elligible for the HCG diet?

Not everyone! Because this plan centers on a very low calorie diet, it is necessary for Dr. McLaughlin to medically supervise this 30 day plan. Once you are accepted, you go through an initial assessment where Dr. McLaughlin reviews your past medical history, performs a physical exam, and reviews your initial laboratory results.

What is involved in the plan?

After your acceptance into the program, you are medically educated on what to eat, and how to measure it. You are seen weekly to monitor your weight and body measurements, and to be given a weekly MIC-B injection. This supplemental injection contains vitamin B-12 (to speed up your metabolism), Methonine (an essential amino acid), and two co-enzymes to burn fat (Inositol and Choline). For those who are very physically active, potassium replacement may also be advised.

What are the typical results?

During the 30-day plan, almost every committed patient loses inches and usually around 15 to 20 pounds. Obviously, results vary based on the amount of targeted weight to lose, and each patient’s commitment.
